How the 15% Commission Works
SoundGo operates on a simple, transparent commission model. When SoundGo successfully recovers, collects, or administers royalties on your behalf, a commission of 15% is deducted from the gross royalty amount before the remaining 85% is distributed to you.
There are no upfront fees, no monthly subscriptions, no minimum commitments, and no hidden charges. The commission is the only cost associated with SoundGo's administration services.
When the Commission Applies
The 15% commission applies only when royalties are successfully recovered, collected, or administered through SoundGo's services. Specifically, commission is charged when:
- A royalty organization issues payment for a claim that SoundGo prepared and submitted on your behalf.
- Back royalties or uncollected royalties are recovered through SoundGo's administration efforts.
- Ongoing royalties flow through registrations that SoundGo established or corrected on your behalf.

What Counts as "Recovery"
A "recovery" or "collection" is defined as any royalty payment received from a third-party organization as a direct or indirect result of SoundGo's administration activities. This includes:
- Back royalties identified and claimed through SoundGo's research and submission.
- Ongoing royalty payments from registrations that SoundGo established or corrected.
- Royalties resulting from metadata corrections submitted by SoundGo.
- Payments from organizations where SoundGo acted as your authorized representative.
Payment Terms Overview
When royalties are received by SoundGo on your behalf, the 15% commission is deducted and the remaining 85% is distributed to you. Payment timelines depend on the payment method you have configured in your account and the schedule of the originating royalty organization.
SoundGo provides transparent reporting for all collections, commissions, and distributions through your dashboard. You can view a detailed breakdown of every payment at any time.
Right to Separate Written Agreement
SoundGo reserves the right to enter into separate written commission agreements with individual users or entities that may contain different terms, rates, or conditions. In the event a separate signed commission agreement exists, its terms shall supersede the general commission terms described on this page and in the Terms of Service.
